You may be a believer of perhaps a nonbeliever, but we have one thing in common, fear has a way of trying to control our lives.
Today our world is filled with people who are afraid of everything. The fear of dying, the fear of not enough money, the fear of losing a child through a court battle, the fear of losing one’s home, but the greatest fear today is getting blown up with a bomb or being gunned down in a mall, or a school, or an airport. The list is endless.
Just the other day my sister shared with me, how a moment of fear came over her as she was trying to decide whether or not to take a trip to the mall. That day she chose not to go. As a result of that experience she allowed God to speak this into her heart.
The word fear, connect, and hope came to her. She asked me if I would do a blog on those words. as you can see my answer was yes.
We’ve already talked about fear a little, but in order to cover it more effectively I’m going to turn this into a, To Be Continued Blog Post.
Let’s talk about connect. If fear disconnects you from faith in Jesus, it has accomplished it deadly purpose.
The importance of staying connected to Christ is vitally important. Remember, fear is torment. It’s goal is to stop you in your tracks, make you ineffective in the Kingdom of God, and make you doubt God.
Perhaps we can honestly say, that much of our society are running in fear of life’s circumstances, because they refuse to connect with the only one who can truly help you solve life’s problems. Jesus is the answer!
As for Hope. All I can really say is without the Word Of God, we have no hope in this life. The word is our road map to our future. The Word is life and health to our bones.
In my next article well talk about “The Greatest Fear” that Jesus himself experienced, and we’ll find out how to overcome your fears. Until then, Jesus said “I have not given you the spirit of Fear”!
